Week 1: Orientation & Induction

Work Placement Experience

The first week at Trekking Team Pvt. Ltd. focused on onboarding and understanding the company’s sustainable tourism model. This involved a comprehensive introduction to the organization’s mission, values, and operational framework. I participated in orientation sessions led by department heads, which provided insights into how different teams—Marketing, Operations, and the Sustainability Wing—collaborate to deliver ethical and environmentally conscious adventure tourism services.

During this period, I familiarized myself with the company's long-standing commitment to eco-tourism and community empowerment, including initiatives like zero-waste treks, plastic-free travel policies, and partnerships with local indigenous communities. I also engaged with internal resources, such as brand guidelines, past campaign materials, and strategic planning documents, to understand how Trekking Team integrates sustainability into every aspect of its branding and service delivery.

These onboarding activities were essential in helping me align with the company’s values and prepare for meaningful contribution in the weeks ahead. They also set the stage for understanding how Trekking Team Pvt. Ltd. differentiates itself in a competitive market by prioritizing environmental responsibility and cultural authenticity.
